Licence Test Bookings
Test bookings (appointments) in the Gauteng province are done in 2 steps. (1) Choose a test date and time at a testing station (DLTC) on the Natis website. (2) Go to the particular testing station (DLTC) in person BEFORE the expiration date on the receipt, to confirm the appointment by submitting the required documentation and making the applicable payment. See "What To Take Along" further down this page.
For more information and to check which documents you have to take along please click here for a Learner's Licence test booking OR click here for a Driver's Licence test booking.
NOTE: A fee of R108 (Learner's Licence test booking) or R228 (Driver's Licence test booking for code 8/B light motor vehicles) is payable to the traffic department, to reserve your test date.
If you're struggling to obtain a test appointment, many folks make use of 3rd party services such as Gauteng Licence Bookings to assist with the online booking. Click here to go to their website, where you'll have to complete the form. Their service fee is currently +/- R300 for obtaining a test slot on the natis website. N.B. The applicant still has to go to the testing station to pay the government fees and hand in all relevant documents, etc in order to complete the test appointment application.
